Rosalyn (Roz) Adele Jenner was a free-spirited, strong willed, articulate, intelligent, funny, adventurous and generous woman who gave freely of her love and deeply cherished her family and friends. She held strong beliefs and was not afraid to speak her mind, as many of you can attest!  Roz was a champion of the underdog and felt deeply saddened by the atrocities and injustices in the world.  She and her husband, Bernard Jenner,  provided loans and support to many an extended family member and contributed to numerous causes over the years. You could always be sure that there would be numerous donation requests in her mailbox on any given day.

Roz Jenner was a one of a kind brilliant gem, with many rough edges that were smoothed out by life’s lessons, particularly in her later years of life.  Like a gem, she had many aspects that were reflected in her many hobbies, interests and affiliations. She was an avid reader all her life and loved doing crossword puzzles.  In the creative realms, Roz was an artist working with many mediums but she especially enjoyed painting pictures of people. She enjoyed singing most of her life and was a gifted writer who wrote her memoirs that she aptly named Oye Vey Rosalyn. In her younger years, Rosalyn was quit a handful and her mother, Sadi Elfan, would frequently sigh and exclaim Oye Vey Rosalyn after my Rosalyn's  many mischievous and rebellious deeds.

Throughout her life, Roz loved to decorate her homes with her special flair. While raising a family, her kids would frequently come home to new wallpaper that had just been changed only weeks before. She was probably the hippest and  most stylish 84 year old in town. She was very youthful and never looked her age. Roz loved to shop, especially to buy special gifts for kids and friends. During her later years in the San Fernando Valley, she was been an active member of Brandeis and worked as a volunteer at Skirball. Some of the clubs many clubs she belonged to were the Movie Buff Club, the Book Club, Legal Issues Club,  The Gourmet Birthday Lunch Club, and The Celebrate Club.  She also played mahjong.

There is so much more to say about this wonderful woman who we were so blessed to love and share life with. May she rest in peace and she will always be deeply loved and remembered by all who knew her.
